  • that cant be christmas day...if it was it would be completely and utterly packed

  • @joeyboi87 it was the 3pm Vespers service. It was probably about 33% capacity. I was surprised too. I only ended up there because I could not get into Westminister Abbey.

  • vespers...i was singing

  • Starting to? They've been better than Kings for years!

  • The Choir really are superb.

And now that horrible Ikea table and platform has been removed and only the High Altar used, the building looks wonderful.

  • I agree that they may well be the best Choir in England currently, BUT acoustic conditions of the temple are not the better and the choir's location behind the Presbitery neither is.

Their performances of T.L. de Victoria's music are at the top of my preferences, therefore I buy their CD because it is also a way of supporting them.

  • They are quite simply the finest Choir singing in England today - superb

  • I'm starting to believe Westminster Cathedral Choir and Choristers are better than King's

  • This vid follows immediately from the end of Part 1. After the antiphon, the Magnificat is sung. I would almost want to say that this canticle (Luke 1:46-55) sums up the entire Christian gospel. In brief: God is faithful, and he has honoured his promises; albeit in ways that are marvellous and unexpected. This is the climax of Vespers, so the altar is incensed at this point. (John, Sydney, Australia.)

  • Despite having to conceal your camera and the background noises, this clip still shows how fantastic the Westminster Cathedral choir is. The senior choristers (Dep.July 2007) were a particularly fine group of trebles and altos!
