You can change the recoil spring in the butstock to a magnum spring and it will help alot with recoil, i have one in mine and shoot 3inch mags all day.
@bushmasterwasr Thanks for the intel. I may wind up buying a spring kit just to have the versatility. To be honest, for my uses I'll be happy if it cycles 1-1/8 3DRAM 2-3/4" shells, 1 Buck and 00 Buck (2-3/4"). Of course, there's only one way to find out if the current spring will cycle those target/sporting loads. It's gonna be fun! :)
@boricuaDV very true and your welcome just remember the thing that i had to find out the hard way the M1S90 cycles on only recoil so it the gun becomes heavy (such as adding a light, sidesaddle and other things) it wont kickback as much and also it you hold it slopy and let it move around it wont cycly properly, so if you try light 8shot or something and it doesnt cycle try holding it real real tight and not let it rise and it should cycle.
@bushmasterwasr Thanks again, you're absolutely right, of course! Lots of people weigh these things down then wonder why they won't cycle anymore! I am upgrading to the M1 Practical bolt handle b/c I am scared that the huge aftermarket ones will add too much weight and cause issues. I'm also going to be switching to the triangle paddle safety setup. If I add a light down the road I may just get a regular M1 forend and drill it to hold a 2inch picatinny section and run a Surefire X300. Big IF...
