The 3D Display Cube encourages the viewer to think about the limitations of current display systems and the representation of spatial data. To be able to recreate spatial data will allow us to display ideas closer to the way we envision and experience them; with depth. The 3D Display Cube was hand built and constructed from one thousand individually controllable LEDs soldered into a 10 x 10 x 10 freestanding matrix. The LEDs use a unique and efficient wiring system that has been granted a patent. Each LED acts as one spatial pixel and can be refreshed at a rate of over 60 fps creating a low resolution 3D television.
