Done okay for a sub but keep my superduty. Have a 32 foot keystone with slides pulls so easy. Those airstreams are cool.

are you sure only 300pounds torque? Thought new jeep grand cherokee had blue 3.0 and was 400 pounds.

30 ft seems like alot, does this mercedes have solid rear axle? i have jeep crd 2.8 liberty and going to try towing airstream bambi 16ft for first time. I know it will yank crap out of it. Got deal on 16ft would rather have 19ft but at $50k for new little guy will work fine.

Thanks so much for sharing. I was curious about this combo. Is the ML350 comparable to the GL320? Both Blutec of course.

That's some efficient towing and good info.

Nice looking rig as well. For a crossover vehicle like the Mercedes-Benz GL320 and towing a trailer like an Airstream, diesel engines should be required, particularly a turbocharged diesel.
-
don´t forget the transmission and the gear reduction for extreme situations^^

@dinocards57 if you have to ask .....

The engine that is in this GL320 diesel in in a the dodge sprinter and they are really a work horse.
I believe the Sprinter engine has lower hp and torque, but you'd have to check the specs to be sure. This one puts out 210 hp, 398 ft-lbs torque. We get an average of 14 MPG towing, and 27 MPG not towing (highway).
