The Peppermint Trolley Company (Danny Faragher, Jimmy Faragher, Greg Tornquist, and Casey Cunningham) performing "Trust", the follow-up to their hit "Baby, You Come Rolling 'Cross My Mind"
on "Mannix" episode. The song was written by Paul Williams and Roger Nichols, and the record produced by Dan Dalton. The band sings to the basic track without the string and horn arrangement. Actor Harry Dean Stanton makes an appearance. The scene was filmed in August of 1968 at Nashville West studio in L.A. The studio was later bought by Richard Perry and renamed Studio 55. The Faragher Brothers recorded two albums there.

  • which Mannix season is this? I assume 1967?

  • We shot this in the summer of 1968. It aired that fall.

  • My wife and I were just watching this episode of Mannix on DVD - we'd never heard the song before, but were so taken with it that we instantly jumped online to find out what it was and who played it. (It didn't occur to us until the episode ended that the name of the band would appear in the credits.)

Thanks for posting this video on YouTube, because it helped us we make the connection. We plan to buy the album soon. Thanks!

  • Thank-you for the nice feedback. I'm touched that you and your wife were moved by the song. I'm sure you'll enjoy the CD, "Beautiful Sun". You can learn more about the band by visiting the official website of Danny Faragher.
