@capriv8 agree with you completely mate. The late 80s and 90s were my era of running too. This is the first I have seen of Paul since then! In my opinion he is one of British sports unsung heros. He was made of iron. People don't understand what he achieved, 2 Olympic 10,000 metre finals, great marathons. He was unlucky not to win London. He was a far better runner than Eamon Martin who got lucky in a weak year. Bedford kept throwing big money to bring in the top Africans during Paul's time.
Paul, You are in my era of running and just want to say you were in my opinion one of the best British athletes of the time and my idol then. I have run 18 London marathons but not my distance really. I like 5m (25 min) & 10k (32 min) Do you run now? I remember stood on the start at Victory 5 next to you.....until you disappeared in the distance. You were class,world class. all the best
