  • @capriv8 agree with you completely mate. The late 80s and 90s were my era of running too. This is the first I have seen of Paul since then! In my opinion he is one of British sports unsung heros. He was made of iron. People don't understand what he achieved, 2 Olympic 10,000 metre finals, great marathons. He was unlucky not to win London. He was a far better runner than Eamon Martin who got lucky in a weak year. Bedford kept throwing big money to bring in the top Africans during Paul's time.

  • Paul, You are in my era of running and just want to say you were in my opinion one of the best British athletes of the time and my idol then. I have run 18 London marathons but not my distance really. I like 5m (25 min) & 10k (32 min) Do you run now? I remember stood on the start at Victory 5 next to you.....until you disappeared in the distance. You were class,world class. all the best
