we never wondered at our house what we would watch saturday night when I was a child in the 50s. my father never missed lawrence welk show. he would not abide distractions while it was on. these were the days when their was only one tv in a household. I remember the lennon sisters at this age in the video you see here. their was a closeness in families in those days and shows like this supported it.
