  • fLAWLESS SINGING,BRILLIANT

  • The Lennon Sisters do a truly amazing "O Holy Night," and so does Jackie Evancho, who, though 54 years younger than the youngest Lennon sister, exudes much of their joy, exuberance, and angelic spirit.

  • In their autobiography, they explained that they were actually lip-synching. It was too hard to mike them because they were of different heights.

  • They say there are angels on the earth, to me, these women are Angels. They all sing so beautifully, I'm positive the girls father and Mother are hearing them in heaven evey day, plus their sister Mary, who tragically was struck and killed by a car at One and a half years of age,

  • Forget Jackie Evancho! The sweetest vrsion of 'O Holy Night' is by the Lennon Sisters, who offer two things that Jackie can't: 1] beautiful close harmony, and 2] sibbling rivalry (watch Diane at 1:51 during Peggy's solo).

  • we never wondered at our house what we would watch saturday night when I was a child in the 50s. my father never missed lawrence welk show. he would not abide distractions while it was on. these were the days when their was only one tv in a household. I remember the lennon sisters at this age in the video you see here. their was a closeness in families in those days and shows like this supported it.

  • Have a look at Janet's expression at the same time... priceless!
