Welcome to Clevver TV, I'm Dana Ward. When I say we're taking a look at The Secret Life of the American Teenager, I'm talking about the tv show, of course! If you haven't caught wind of this drama, it's from ABC Family and it takes an insider look at the ups and downs of high schoolers. We're talking real and serious topics though - beyond the popularity fights in Gossip Girl and fashion dilemmas in 90210. The Secret Life of the American Teenager goes into issues of pregnancy, love and religion and how it affects not only the teens but also the families.

The original series is nominated for a handful of Teen Choice Awards this year, including for TV Breakout Show, TV Drama as well as a bunch of Choice Actor and Actress nominations. In fact, it actually won a Teen Choice Award last year as the best Summer TV show. Ken Baumann, Shaileen Woodley and Daren Kagasoff are on the list. Some others on the full cast include Molly Ringwald, India Eisley, Mark Derwin, Megan Park, Francia Raisa and tons more.
