Serious Sam is what Doom3 should have been back in the day. And possibly Duke Nukem Forever too.
Does look odd with the modern setting. Still in Egypt though lol?

I'm absolutely loving this game. I'm actually playing on Serious difficulty (which is pretty damn hard!), and it's still fun even if I die a lot. I definitely agree that this is what DNF should've been, and really any shooter that claims to be "anti-realism" and "over-the-top" *coughBulletstormcough* could take a few pointers from the Serious Sam series. Still one of the greatest FPS games after all these years!

@Chubzdoomer It looks much more bland and shallow than the originals. I don't think the gritty look is actually doing it any favours.

@Cryomundus I unfortunately haven't gotten very far past this point because I've been so busy with other games, but I've heard it really does get crazy. I've already had my ass kicked quite a few times, so I'm sure that I'll be balls to the wall by the end of the game!
