Dunno if Misa deserves the title of 'slut' or not...she's extremely loyal to Light. I used to dislike her, but now she seems like a much better character.

Like her or not, this is an awesome video. Misa's expression at 1:05 is just...epically funny.

You made the same point my girlfriend did when I made this. It was my intention to make this video with comedy through contrast, as I agree with you about Misa's nature. However, I didn't realize that a great deal of the Death Note fandom actually views her as a slut when I first uploaded this.

Well, it's a decent chance that L is not a virgin, he was completely unknown and inside all the time until he was about 20 so theres a chance he may have had sex before, it's basically an assumption that people make that he's a virgin.

If you think of it that way then nothing is the characters fault because they are all created by the author. I agree that the author is a sexist jerk, but you can't blame an author for making an unlikable character, you can only dislike the character. I'm not saying that you have to dislike her, but I'm not about to over look her 'weak little girl' persona because of the author. She is what he made her.

I don't find her to be that stupid; after all, she does manage to trap Light, in her own stalkerish way. :D

As for her portrayal as "weak" (and stupid), most women in Death Note are portrayed that way when compared to the males. This isn't the characters' fault, but rather the CREATORS being a bunch of misogynistic jerkwads. Just my opinion, anyway. :D

I like her for my own reasons, which have little to do with her fanservice-y attire, though I do <3 it. ;D

I don't like her because theirs no reason to like her. I don't see how having a fashion sense makes you a likable person. It bothers me how stupid she is compared to the guys. She just makes girls look slutty and stupid and weak.

Actually, Near was supposed to be L's son, but I'm pretty sure they dropped that because to many questions would have to be answered. Also I'd like to point out how when Light had bought those porn magazines L commented that it was normal and said "I did strange things to when I was that age" So I don't think he's asexual.

I still find it offensive because none of the guys are typical like that. They all have distinct personalities and most of the girls are stupid and simple and not interesting at all. You can tell that the guy who writes this manga doesn't do well with girl characters.
