Sony DA-STR5300ES and Sony 52" Bravia BR5 display problem

Short sample of display problem with the Sony DA-STR5300ES and Sony 52" XBR5. The 5300 was exchanged once by Sony. This problem is disappointing after spending over $4k on these two Sony pieces.

Update: Sony fixed the problem in later production runs of the television, and they also made good on getting it fixed - no arguments or problems. Sony sometimes has problems in early production runs of a model, but they do make the best LCD / LED televisions. Another good resource is to find and read the forum thread for your model at Audio Visual Science's AVSforums (dot-com).

I bought a sony bravia 55 inch that failed within 18 months - the company stated that this failure was related to a known manufacturers defect, yet they wouldn't replace it. Manufacturers warranty is only 12 months. I spent several hours on the phone for nothing. I 'm very disappointed with SONY!!! Don't buy unless you are willing to potentially flush your hard earned cash down the toilet!!!

looks like something is loose inside the TV. Try to call sony if its still under warranty.
