@bolaarroyo If you look at the details about Syd's life, you'll see why he behaved the way he did. He took took too much too often, lived in a flat surrounded by the wrong people who'd constantly dose him, was pressured to constantly tour, write hit songs, then have his songs rejected (Scream Thy Last Scream, Vegetable Man), began taking Mandrax. That'd make anyone insane.
And then when he wanted back in Pink Floyd, the band wouldn't let him. Even as late as Atom Heart Mother.

@bolaarroyo LSD allows more percentage of your brain to be used. Our brains receive a lot of information, but only process a small amount. LSD allows that information to come through unfiltered. There's even research to back this up.

Yeah, he wasn't on acid in this. According to the guy who filmed this, this was Syd's first mushroom trip. He had already taken LSD before this.

Syd you will always be my favorite R.I.P

LSD is not a tool. is a chemical that distorts perception.
-
he was born with a genetic tendency towards insanity. The drugs just made him reach his full threshold faster.

@mtmcb LSD is a tool to see into the soul, the psyche.
Think of how you use a telescope; you point it at the stars. If you point it at the sun, you go blind.
It CAN be used responsibly and has been by more people than have been hurt by it. But it's a tool. Some people don't need to take LSD, or drink, or smoke. Maybe you're one of them.
Don't be so rash to judge what is right for each individual by what is right for you.
