endangered animal in indian forest

We found this chameleon crossing the road on the way to matheran.they frequently do this endangering thei life to get crushed under the wheels of fast vehicles.I was so fascinated by its unique style of locomotion.Later I came to know its an endanger chameleon species found in western ghats of indian forests.it safely went the other side of the road but many of them are not so lucky.Every year hundreds of them get crushed under the tires of vehicle while crossing the road.This is why this particular creature and many others are facing extinction today.Only we can save them.
