Blues Alley, just off the square in Holly Springs, MS. Every Thursday evening during the summer, the road it blocked off and people get together to party to the blues. Adam Gussow, harp player and one-man band from Oxford, MS, provides the entertainment on this particular night, playing "I'm Tore Down" and "Good Morning Little School Girl."

  • WHY THE HELL is nearly Nobody paying Attention to Adam playing..all the Guys are just standing around?!? WTF?!? BLASPHEMY!

  • @Slears: I don't look at it that way. I view myself as the drummer in the village. I'm the soundtrack behind the good time everybody is having.

  • hi adam! are you using any other effect beside the delay and gain? you have a wonderful thick sound.

  • @GOLONDRINAS18: I plug my mic (Shure PE5H) into a Boss DD3 digital delay pedal, then split the output and run it into two amps--in this case, a HarpGear2 and a 1956 Fender Bassman (not a reissue, but the real thing). I rarely use a 4 x 10" amp, but playing outdoors, where I needed to move air, gave me a chance to pull it out of the closet.

  • It takes a real foot soldier to go into a real blues neighborhood and lay it down thick.. Guardians of the blues are hard to impress, you cant bullshit your way through it..

  • @KudzuRunner That's right Adam, Soundtrack of the City!

  • BIG RESPECT FROM HUNGARY!!!!

  • Great man...remember to have a squad of bodyguards man in these places...jajaja

  • Thats the blues; people chillin, drinkin, music playin. A man doing his thing for the joy of doing it. No media coverage, no spotlight, just a raw and pure human expression.

  • Adam, you are one of the best... and a great contributor to the evolution of music, specifically the blues. I thank you for your selfless efforts and sharing of knowledge. Btw... an outstanding performance!!!!

  • Love it, nothing like our good old down home country towns. I know they were loving it. Great job Adam, they are fortunate to have you in that part of the country.

  • Impressionante. Great and brave.
