You're wasting your patient's insurance dollars. Let them taper for months at home. You can't help long-term benzo patients in 30 days, so stop pretending to do so! And like the other commentor pointed out below, you don't push a person in benzo withdrawal into meaningless (at the time) family history issues! That is medically supervised torture! I worked psych for 7 years, happened to experience a rapid taper (6 days after 7 years prescribed use), and this approach to tx is unconcionable!!!
