I made this to help my arthiritis-prone wife (unable to climb stairs). Powered by 0.5 HP motor. This is my first upload and sorry for under-lighted version. Next time hopefully better.

  • Can you describe how you built it?

    Thanks.

  • Its powered by 0.5 HP reversible motor belt drive connected to 0.5 ton portable winch. Couple of relays and hand operated directional switch. An iron welded cage with guide tubes (to prevent spiraling) pulled up/down by 6 mm wire rope and pulleys. Total cost (eqvt of) around 50 USD.
