pretty much every band changes. they're growing up. things change for everybody. if your a true fan, you'd love them no matter what. i think their old and new are amazing. and the maine only like really changed alittle. its not like they went from indie rock to country music.

True fans don't love a band no matter what, if you genuinely don't like whatever new a band comes out with but you force yourself to love it--that's being a fake fan. Being a true fan after they've changed means still appreciating the songs/albums you did love while still respecting the new; accepting that they change.
