Hi people! :D
This is the LAST cover of the year 2010, so I wanted to make something special.
I recorded a cover last week at the house in Sao Paulo, and since I'm in Florianopolis right now, I decided to make a 2nd take... BUT instead of erasing the previous take, I've put them together and selected the best improvised licks to let on the final track :)
So you will basically hear only the 2nd take, but sometimes I saved one or two licks from the previous take.
Soooo, I think that if I tried to find a better song for the end of this year, it would be impossible..
I just looooooooooooooooove this one!
I mean, I really love it.
This is one of my favourite songs from Incubus, it's just pure genious!
Did I mention I love it?
Aaaanyway... here's a cover of "Look Alive", the 2nd bonus track from the "Light Grenades" album of Incubus!
I think it's meant to be played with a pick, but since I suck at using picks....
Otherwise I learnt the song by ear (as usual) so there might be some differencies, but to me it sounded pretty accurate..!
I used my Tuscany Swing White Bass and some effects in Adobe Audition (I had no pedals on the beach :P). The sound is recorded through my Presonus AudioBox USB.
Once again, sorry for the mistakes and I hope you'll like it! :)
