my dad had it really bad when he came home from vietnam. He freaked out a lot and painted a picture wich my mom still refuses to show me.

Here is what contributes to PTSD: A soldier deployed in a foreign country with no sense of purpose. If you don't feel you are protecting America and its allies, you lose hope. I was in Vietnam when the grunts refused to go out on patrol. Why? No sense of purpose. We had no idea what we were fighting for. That was the beginning of the end in Vietnam. Yeah, I am a PTSD victim, 100% disabled and quite fucked.
