  • @djkhaless I don't give a damn what physics or Plato said; I was the one who did the work, not "everyone". I was the one who took the orders, made the drinks, delivered the food and cleaned the cafe, no one else. By that fact, the money I was given for that work is mine and only mine.

  • @djkhaless Affluent family? What are you reading on her? The woman escaped from the USSR (and thus knows, firsthand, what communism represents) and had to work her way into financial success.

  • Today, governments across the world are desperately trying to stimulate consumption by borrowing, stealing and printing more and more fiat money to pass on to their favored group of conies.

    The long term results of this is obvious. Just ask yourself why gold has gone up fives times in value in such a short time.

  • I fail to see where the line between looters and corporate capitalists is drawn. They have plenty of power in government, yet the gov't serves as the foil to rich men as heroes. This is given as if by a downtrodden radical giving voice to countless oppressed individuals. It'd be more appropriate as a background to THX 1138. It's not that people don't intuitively understand the meaning of hard work, the problem is objections we have to the so-called "invisible hand" shaped by propaganda.

  • @leftnut007

    It's a mystery how you stumbled across such an intellectual and thought provoking video from one of the greatest minds in the 20th century by writing the way you do. Maybe try reading some Rand before making brash assumptions about her morality or view of money. Then again, I don't expect you to because you don't sound intelligent. And yes, I'm saying this in the most condescending tone possible, take offense.

  • @leftnut007 Yes people have corrupted the means of production. They have made money dishonorable, as stated in the video...and what have you done to make men more free, to remove the state, and remove the barrel of a gun pointed at each and every American?

  • It's "The love of money is the root of all evil".Times are rough today...usually is when the government tries to manipulate the free market. We are in this current disaster because of a perfect storm: A corrupt congress combined with a greedy/irresponsible Wall street. Taxpayers are left with this aftermath. When jimmy carter was in office..19% prime interest rates! and joblessness. Then Reagan bailed us all out with a freer capitalist environment.

    We'll be back! Hang tough.

  • This guys a fawkin acehole. This video is not longer credible. Things are different today. Wealth and oppurtunity have become limited. Sorry, but $ is not good/god. Is money gonna make you do the right things in life? $ cant buy LOVE. People are fawkin dumb. hope the dumb stops dec21st2012. :}

  • "Whenever destroyers appear among men, they start by destroying money, for money is men's protection and the base of moral existence. Destroyers seize gold and leave to its owners a counterfeit pile of paper."

  • @Aslapacrosstheface No, it doesn't work in theory. We almost had a true capitalist society, then cronyism started creeping in. President Lincoln and his goons didn't help either. If you look into his history with the railroads, that is where much of the cronyism started. If a person cheats the system of capitalism, with out the aid of the government, he will eventually fail, because eventually the best product will win. If there is no cronyism then there is no monopoly's.

  • We are all slaves to the machine now. I feel that the slavery going on now is worse than anything, just because it's not against one race or another doesn't make it any less. We have given up our freedoms and our money to the so called leaders of this country and we continue to keep going just on the pitance that they feel is good for us, and we take it and continue on like lemings!
