Yeah but I mean, are you running Ubuntu as your host OS?
I want run a virtual machine with the desktop effects of Ubuntu and the likes, and not using Windows 7. Any ideas?

I've dual booted Windows XP and Ubuntu, just wondering how the hell to get VMware Workstation working on Linux lol...

I think you dont need VMware Workstation.
VMPlayer is free and run on both OS hosts (XP and Ubuntu)
