Short video of my new goby sifting sand at the front of the tank for the first time.

Size: 4 inches
Care Level: Easy
Temperament: Peaceful
Reef Safe: Yes
Diet: Brine, Mysid, Worms
Origin: Indian Ocean
Acclimation Time: 3+ hours

This goby has an orange stripe through the middle of the body and orange spots above it. There are also blue spots on the head. This fish is effective at stirring the sand beds. This fish can be difficult to keep in the aquariums without live rocks and live sand. To increase your success with this fish it is important to keep it in a tank with live sand on the bottom. If you want a goby that is an excellent sand sifter, but very hardy, check out the Dragon Goby. The Diamond Goby should be fed at last twice daily and kept only with peaceful tankmates. This species is rarely aggressive towards other fishes that share its habitat.
