  • Originally released in October 1966. Jerry later claimed he only did this film for the money, as he had no personal involvement in the production other than appearing in it.

  • @Mulsanne917flatout

I like Samantha Stevens from Bewitched better. Just kidding ha ha. I know her name was Elizabeth Montgomery ;) She was pretty though.

  • @Mulsanne917flatout Oh yes, I remember Connie Stevens well too, I even met her once during the late 1960s at the then International Hotel (now Hilton) where Elvis was playing (didn't even know who Elvis was until I saw the sign, became a fan after seeing the 1964 movie Viva Las Vegas) where our family was visiting and almost ran into her. I think she said "Oh, excuse me. Hello". I also followed the moon landing program since the tragic 1967 Apollo fire but saw it only on b&w TV until Apollo13.

  • @CaptainNomura I'm perhaps a bit luckier in that I recognize (and remember!) Connie Stevens herself (Rowrrr!).

What I don't remember, sadly, is much of the actual moon landing itself. I remember my mother telling me to sit down and watch it--because she was sure I'd want to remember where I was at that moment. And I give her full credit for being right.

    ---

But what I can't be sure of is which of from which of the two possible locations I actually witnessed it. :-/

    Doh!

  • finally an accurate depiction of the future!

  • Hey, were these the first wide-screen TV's?

  • "...the fertilizer has hit the ventilator, sir." Funny G-rated line.

  • I saw this as a kid before the real Moon landing of 1969, recognized Linda Harrison (Nova in planet of the Apes) in a quick speaking role, along with James Brolin. It was silly and fun, just like my childhood.
