Welcome to another progress installment of my XNA project Copernicus One. This particular installment is more about the sound effects. For several weeks now I've been working on a Sound Manager to help me paint the environment in sound. In this video, you will hear echoed some of the ambient bleeps, creaks, groans and booms that are part of the game. In fact, all the sounds and music you hear on this video are direct from the game. many of the sounds utilise low frequency bass. You may not hear the true depth via small headphones of speakers. With my development kit (PC) plugged in to a cinema system, to me, it sounds awesome. And yes, I know you cannot hear any sound in the vacuum of space. Sorry to the simulation perfectionists out there, but I'm going to keep it a bit Hollywood for the effect :) Anyway... Enjoy the "Soundscape"... The video takes you from the start menu to the first location of this adventure!
