Kuntman's Laser Projector:
This scanning video technique is quite different from LCD projectors. 25 frames of real-time pictures per second can be performed on any screen by a 0.1 mW laser pointer without MEMS. Beam is modulated with playstation video signal and scanned with mirrors. Horizontal scanning freq. 15625Hz; Vertical scanning freq. 50Hz.
Colour video is possible with RGB laser.

you can always use 3 lasers :) each modulated by the R, G, and B of a graphics card for example, the mechanical setup would be the same, you'll just have to triple the electronics (you now have to modulate 3 beams) and you could use a beam combiner :) it's kind of a prism with 3 dichroic mirrors in it that each reflects it's own wavelength

this is the greatest thing i see on lpf this year!
and nice ps2 nes emulator, love it too ;)

try using rbg lasers :D

cool, but kinda pointless. I need a TV with a bit more than one color lol.

How do you keep the motors spinning the mirrors in sync with the video sync pulses? Also, how do you control the aspect ratio, that is, how do you increase and decrease the vertical and horizontal size? I've thought about doing this for a while and here is proof that it can be done! I guess I'm not the first one to think of doing it.

I'll try to make this as simple as I can.
Say if you took a red laser pen, you can draw stuff on walls...well this thing is 'drawing' a _video_...line by line...really freaking fast, on that wall.
It's impressive because it's able to 'draw' all those lines and turn it's laser on and off at the right times, so it can give the viewer a video to watch!
