WW2 was a victory for the Allies, not just the Yanks or the Russians. Neither would have won on their own against the Axis powers. The Yanks were involved more globally but would not have been able to sustain numbers of casualties endured by Russia (20 million) on the eastern front where the heaviest battles took place. And the British? Battle of Britain was crucial, if British had lost, there would be no El Alamein, no Murmansk convoys, no D-Day, unlimited U-boat threat..I could go on.
