  • @redplaguewins: They are not contenders... they already belong there... What i was saying, that her resume speaks for itself, and that's enough for her to be called "One of the greatest". I know she's not the best among them, but certainly based on facts, she's already there...5 GS might be a small number, but you to have at least 1 is hard enough....

  • @onniey This is an old one! Who would I say is the greatest, difficult question but you'd have to look at Margaret Court and Navratilova as the most likely contenders.

  • @redplague and who would you put there? Sharapova?

  • @janjr165 Sorry. But you gotta admit womens tennis is a lot funner now. Na Li could be the first Chinese player to win a slam!

  • @wheelmanstan : You seem to have very strong feelings of cheuvinism my friend, calm it down. Just because a woman is blessed with physical prowess doesn't make her any less of a woman.

  • A shame Hingis retired so soon. She was the only player in the post Graf/Seles era that didn't rely on brute power to subdue her opponents.

  • @onniey What what I consider one of the greatest? There is no doubt that Hingis acheived a lot and was one of the best of her era, but when you look back in 20, 50 years time it's grand slams that count and define the best. Whereas 5 is respectable it doesn't put her up there with the elite.

  • @redplague: And what would you consider as "one of the greatest"? Having said that, did it occur to you, that Hingis really is not the greatest, but One of those who were great at playing tennis. FYI: 5 GS titles, a total of 43 Singles titles, 9 GS doubles titles, a total of 38 doubles titles, a mix GS title, a total of 209 weeks at #1, 4th all time... If you ask me, that's way more than enough, to be considered as "one of the greatest"... Just saying...Peace....

  • Lob is a difficult shot just like drop shot, drop shot need good hand, lob need good spin to have it drop like a bullet!

  • @wheelmanstan
