The concept is just begging for a movie.
In an alternate history, nazi Germany manages to summon the World Serpent Jormungandr from Nordic folklore to destroy The Allies. After much destruction the decision is made to drop an atomic bomb, killing the creature, but its carcass falls and swamps most of Europe and America, its poisonous blood further devastating mankind or mutating the survivors into ravenous monsters of myth. Those who lived through this literally world shattering event now have to contend with reawakening dark magic, the continued threat of nazi mystics, Russia's insidious plans behind the carcass of the serpent, and the brood of Jormungandr who still haunt the ruins of The Earth.
