  • No my rant is valid as it is my opinion. Your rant is valid as well. Do you believe if we let the US Automakers go belly up our economy will be in as good a state or better than if we helped them out. The situation sucks without a doubt. Sometimes I wonder if the unions are partially to blame. Ya I know that comment will piss a lot of people off. Remember I said I wonder. I dont know the facts well enough regarding the union and I am not against unions in any way.

  • Rachtman is a douchebag - he is only saying this because he is a PAID SPOKESMAN for Chevy.

Anyone who buys a Chevy because of Riki is a douchebag, too.

  • im bored on cam

    great vid Y4

  • Try to remember, I said "That Corporate GREED is the cause of this.". It is what started the spiral that led to the high wages that led to even higher prices...and led to CEOs making 20x what they should be.

  • The point I was making DBSTI300 is that even the Japanese auto makers are losing ground to the companies in other nations.

Sales of Automobiles made in China, Korea and India have more than tripled in the last 2 years. China is only a few million in sales behind the US and Korea is just behind Germany.

Not even Japanese auto makers can hold back companies that can pay their employees 1/10th the wages and can sell it at almost 1/3rd the price of other dealers and still make a ton of money.

  • You are a no talent loser!

  • Japanese automakers are here as well. I thank the Japenese for just making more responsible decisions. Ask yourself, whose fault is it when you may have bought several American vehicles over your lifetime, thinking you are doing a loyal American deed just for these corporate crooks to fuck your eyes out in repayment. Taxes were paid by the makers, the buyers, and the sellers, just for the execs to ask for more of your tax money to get them out of a hole they have created.

  • These CEO's are like a spoiled kid that knows every time they wreck a car , they get a new one from mommy and daddy. And I'm sorry for these people's jobs. Bad business decisions just sometimes have to be accepted by these CEO's. These execs flew to Washington on a private plane, then got into a fancy car to get to this hearing, then reach out with a tin cup. This should be an insult to the taxpayers, especially to the ones of the auto industry.

  • I think you're right - as long as there's a way to monitor what they do with the funds and not let the jerky "suits" take fancy vacations and/or have lavish "retreats". That's all crap. And I'm still bitter that Washington Mutual had to be "bailed out" by having Chase by them - yet their CEO (who had only been working there a SHORT time) got a HUGE, multi-million dollar severance. WTF?!?

  • A friend a mine tried to sell them the common rail technology ten years ago. He went to detroit, and after an hour meeting left with the GM guys laughing and saying "What would we need technology that saves 10 to 15%gas for?" my friend left in tears, not understanding how these people could hold such a speech.

They deserve to fail, they got it coming and there's no reason whatsoever why they should be bailed when so many other small businesses go bankrupt and nobody actually gives a shit...

  • that make the items that are bought by the auto makers to make their cars. Then add the millions of people that SELL the cars.

You are talking about over 2.5 million jobs!

Now ask yourself this next question. if all the US auto makers go out...will other companies open more plants to give those people jobs?

Think about this shit next time you get in your foriegn made car. This shit is YOUR fault, not the automakers fault. You sent your money to another nation.
