At one time Delta was the premier airline, my have so many things gone to seed.

it's frustrating you had to go through that but delta was under instruction from Air Traffic Control and the FAA after that point. this would have unfortunately happened with any airline. i wonder what happened. i've had my fair share of horror stories on southwest, etc. but delta didn't purposely try to do that to you. the pilots sure as hell don't want to sit there either at the gate. they want to get going too just like all of you.

@kenny1309 when I buy an airplane ticket, I expect to be on the plane for the amount it takes them to get me to my destination. I don't buy an airplane ticket to be waiting at the gate for X amount of hours while they figure out what is the best time for them to take off. Unless weather is a factor, there shouldn't be a reason for waiting that long at the gate.

btw, If you're on an airplane flying at 35K feet and you want to get out, you're just an idiot.
