Gain more rpm by adjusting the governor springs. This covers DT360, DT466, Ford 6.6 & 7.8, and others from 84-92(give or take)
If you go more than 4 clicks, it'll just take pressing on the go pedal to start, and idle speed will be a little too high.

  • @TheDirtytexan You can spin to 3200, but fuel economy will greatly suffer. The main goal here is to keep it fueling harder up to the 27-2900 area. The stock ratating assembly can stay together up to around 4500.

  • I have an 84 that runs 2700 max. Whats the most RPM you can run this thing without problems. I am also wondering if you know where the torque and HP are at there best?

  • It gives roughly 100 rpm per click(1/4 turn).

  • cool info ! how many rpm per turn do you figure?
