It's a musical, I think the song serves its purpose of proving how spoil she is, while staying cute and enjoyable. Just because the songs shows that she's spoil doesn't mean that it has to be horrible. Songs in musicals needs to be entertaining or else the musical would just suck, and just for the record its definitely not gay, its intended for family and children so it doesn't need to be too complex. Its fun and served its purpose therefor they done a good job.
