I found a car and the ad for it says its a 95 trans am ws6 with a ls1 motor? would that be correct or did someone do a motor swap?

@domiNATEshots12 LS1's only came in 98-02 trans ams. WS6's were only made 96-02.

they only made 2015 96 trans am ws6. only ones with the 350 lt1.

@theman121093 yes. but the trans am ws6 came with 305hp instead of 285hp like the regular trans am

@dummydoo93 way wrong sparky. The WS6 was just an option that had added suspension mods, badging, and Ram air hood. The LT1 is in ALL Formula and Trans Ams from 1993 to 1997. WS6 is just an add on. I have a '95 TA, not WS6 and its LT1

@ivanruiz89 i have one of those auto trader magazines that had an article about it that i found the day after i bought my car. it didnt say how many were six speed but ive double checked it on like 3 different sites that all say that these are rare ass cars. some were also sold with different trim packages like the 25th annaversary edition like mine

@ivanruiz89 Yeah I plan on putting high flow cats on my car because the loudness is kinda unbearable. I would really like to have a full GMMG exhaust with long tube pace setters, but I really don't want to spend $1,500 on a exhaust system. lol

@SuRihtanil haha nice! ive heard an ls1 with no cats and a flowmaster not sure what series. honestly the noise was about the same level just a different tone. his sounded a lot cleaner and throaty. mine just sounds loud and not as throaty just kind of a loud drone in person. the drone inside the car is terrible too but i've learned to deal with it haha. atleast until i get money for a muffler. i have all the pipes and tips i just need the muffler itself
