  • Fascinating. Yes, this is the real McCoy. If SOPA passed all this would be in the hands of the greedies. They need to be stopped dead cold.,

  • HEY GUYS! Music is kinda like a Gumbo...everybody put something into the pot. Sure, you can argue about just who made the roux, and maybe what kind of meat makes the best, but not when your mouth is full of good old creole stew. Just sit back and enjoy the tunes, and be thankful that the melting pot that IS America gave us such a bounty to enjoy! Remember, New Orleans Jazz and Festival - last weekend in April/first weekend in May...See you at the buffet!

  • @paulypaulification Blues has nothing to do with Africa??? Find working songs from West Africa (Ghana, Burkina Faso, etc). And they had plenty of string instruments back then. To argue that Black people (African Americans) have nothing to do with the Blues is very silly. You do not know what syncopation is, do you? Look it up, that may help you to learn a thing or two! (By the way, I am white but not silly)

  • @SirTenTea AMEN!!

  • So, it were not "The Animals" it was him!

  • @bigchiroal1 You are hands down my favorite person amongst this world riddled with worry.

    Much love from Germany.

  • @paulypaulification

lastly.. no one invented the music, it was just the by-product of the emotions; felt and expressed through sound. and certainly no 'colour' is to be held responsible, discrimination is the power of weak men.

..i think there may have been a point you were trying to get at somewhere way back the line but that probably got lost in all the bullshit. perhaps there's some underlying reason for all that anger and self-righteousness.. good luck with it, whatever comes of it.

  • @paulypaulification

now.. instrumentally, vocally, constructionally, etc., ALL music from EVERYWHERE is effected by other music (or even simply the 'sounds') that are present at such time. much 'white' music (as you put it: the country, folk and 'english drinking music') derives from some other source or adaptation. blues was predominately 'black' because it arose from the emotions evoked within the oppressed communities which, at that time, was predominately black, however, not limited only to.

  • @paulypaulification

to begin.. if you strip the white and the black and the various other different colours and hues of flesh from the body that it sits on, you'll find a deep blood red. whatever the colour of skin, it's always just going to be homosapien vs homosapien.

i'm sure you're aware of this, but i just thought i'd point it out anyway.

  • @OldBluesAndDubMusic Wikipedia is wrong!!!

  • @blaquegirl77 Look at the globe! The area of Africa was settled by caucasians. Look at the art and mummies from the old dynasty. The Egyptians are the same people now that they were back then. NOT BLACK!!!! Black people from America are pissing the Egyptians off!!
