A cool tutorial showing you how to create a fake shutdown virus using AppleScript Editor, and can be used as pranks to your friends! Don't worry this won't cause any harm to your computer, it's only a prank. If you don't want it to shutdown, simply change the command to: tell application "Finder" to sleep. If you want an instant shutdown when you click the icon, only type the command: tell application "Finder" to shut down and then save it as an application file, and change the icon.

  • yea i am sure... it still dosen't work

  • @StaticShock221 but giving the message "findershut" is odd. So you typed- tell application "Finder" to shut down

    and it still doesnt work?

  • when i click shut down it says cant continue event findershut.

  • @StaticShock221 are you sure you did all the instructions properly, check the applescript file again. See if there is anything unusual. If this doesnt work, let me know.

  • wait how do you prank your friends. how do you put it on there computer

  • @goflerful u can just make it in their computer, or just carry it with you with (usb, hard drive) and move it to their computer secretly.
