Keeping the peace in Interstellar Space---Captain Sheridan of the Neutral Space-Station 'Babylon 5', trying to communicate with alien Ambassador Kosh. Problem: even when it's Kosh... you *cannot* communicate with the Vorlon. Period.

Yeah---for a alien so intelligent he can barely be understood when speaking English---but, I believe that would a problem with the language humans choose to use... not Kosh's ability to communicate, eh? :P

No the Vorlaons are really advanced. They would have no problems learning english. Kosh just choose to speak like that. I think that he loves being able to say just enough to make everyone esle very confused.

Oh yeah, he does---at one point Captain Sheridan yells at him (can you imagine a human surviving so much as the idea of 'yelling' at Ulkesh? "We are all Kosh." Suuure---he's been waiting to say that for *how* long?  *raspberry*

The Vorlons don't want people to understand them. Think what damage we could do to a race that was 1,000 years behind us. What would happen to savages with wooden clubs if you gave them all M16s? The knowledge we have would destroy their world. We would have to tell them nothing of what we know -- to protect THEM.

The Vorlons are a MILLION years ahead of us. If we knew a fraction of what they now know, we would obliterate ourselves. To coin a phrase: "You are not ready."

You know, I've always felt that Kosh was not like the other Vorlons. I've always felt that he embraced the balanced median between order and chaos rather than the Vorlon extreme of order.

@sunnchilde Actually, the Vorlons are COUNTLESS BILLIONS of years ahead of us. Kosh was born 1 BILLION years ago and he isn't even one of the oldest Vorlons.
