Since it's deadly, did it kill someone?

@matysek123456 I'm not too sure about this one: if you pause it at the right moments, you will see the main bolt that indeed is 'ghosted' a few times. BUT.... to the right of it, you see a bolt that looks like a ghostbolt, but doesn't look like the actual strike a bit to the left, and also doesn't appear to 'roll' down the screen, as most ghostbolts do. Leaders can come from any point, and don't have to originate from tall object (ofcourse, the chance they do, are higher)

@torn80s Shoot in P mode. 24 or 30

I see your camcorder get's the same reflection of the lense surroundings as mine does. That bolt that hits on the treeline is the real bolt. Then you see a second image of it which appears to be right in front of your face. That second image you see is a actually a reflection of the real lightning bolt. I don't know if there's a way to stop this from happening, because this reflection deal has messed up some really good lightning video stills I wanted to keep. That was still close though. Nice!!

Im gonna major in Geo sciences/Atmosphere meteorology. Want to start out as a storm chaser and get footage of shit like this. To me, one of the most badass jobs on the planet, Luckily i live right in tornado alley :)

DAYUM! Awesome lightning! I'd be nervous, too ... lightning my favorite element of Storm, but nothin' to mess with. 5/5 stars. (love the noise at the end)

if it wants to get to u it will get to u......that one strike at 1:09 was all over that place ...looked very close!....saw a great storm last tues with a f-0 tornado here in NE Tennessee.....not much damage..but insane c/g lightning...great footage!

it really does! CREEPY!!! : /
That wasn't step leader or positive streamer ... this was ghost lightning, a reflections of a strike on your camera lens ... streamers are at tall places like chimneys, trees, etc. and they are looking for stepped leaders to connect to.

Tall places, like me standing outside with nothing else taller around.
