When I first watched this as a little kid, I thought that both the advertisement and the song were sleazy. "Evil Ways," the basis for this jingo, was the first Santana single I ever heard. As a huge Santana fan now, I'm glad that they've had an entire career full of outstanding music. As for this commercial, I just simply have a good laugh at the obvious turkey machismo.

So, let me get this straight.....the babe sees Mr. Winchester ambling by, stops her rag-top (she's the one driving), pops her hood, pulls the wire from the distributor cap, and tells fancy-boy they've run out of gas. He buys it and trots out to the gas station. Ooookay.

I've always wanted to know who he was. I looked him up and it seems that he did a lot of work as a stuntman.
I wonder if he remembers who the girl was in the commercial?
