  • I like that too. I think the reason his new stuff is better is because of the fact that he has in someway invented his own genre. He's still considered horror, but he has taken horor to a whole new level. Very inspiring. I love it.

  • @smokyest777 I always thought it was interesting how different all his book plots are, but he still unites them with his style of storytelling. It gives us writers some hope that we can write a variety of books intead of having to strike gold with one series that has 18 books with the same characters, haha.

  • I didn't like most of these stories, but I did like "Children of The Corn" and "Battleground". I think his short story writing has gotten better as he has gotten older...Great Review!

  • @smokyest777 "Battleground" was pretty good, it stuck out quite a bit, but I liked how it was so off the wall. I have several other King books and a couple short story collections that I need to read. But I'm jumping around on my shelf so it'll be a bit before I get to them. I like how his older stuff is coming down to a new generation of readers, but that he has new stuff so readers can see his progression as a writer.

  • @ajpvb Lmao! It really is such a relief. I don't want to have to write a character, give him a cool name, then give the books titles that reference to his name..lol

  • Night surf is a prequel to the novel The Stand

  • my favorite story is "Battleground"

if you have to choose a BOOK, read "IT" or "Under the Dome"
