thanks so much i really think its exelent and thanks so much for responding to me its nice that you have helpd me. so the actual dinasour did you have to make it in a 3d aplication . thats the only bit im really stuck on i can track a scene from say my back garden. i just dont understand how to actualy make the dinasaw itself. and how to get the dinasaw in to my tracked back garden. thanks in advance i really do appreciate youre help.

Hey williamssally, thanks for your comments. The software I used for tracking is Syntheyes. There are a bunch of tutorials on their website. Here is a quick outline on how to track a similar scene.
1. Video a background plate. Try to ensure there are a number of solid points you can get tracks on.
2. 3d track the scene
3. Bring in the tracked camera into your 3d ap.
4. animate the scene and render with the tracked footage
5. render scene.
6. composite with footage.
