Good video. The trunk part of the install is perfect. You did a good job hiding and routing most of the wires with the exception of that power wire. There are ways through the firewall. Other than that its a good install.

Great radio, great install. Well done and thanks for posting. I am about to install a dual band radio (possibly a 7800) in the car and this has given me food for thought.

hi i was wondering,i have the FT-7800 and was wondering if it is possible to program buttons 2 - 5 with frequencies like ya can with button 1.

im asking cause i want to put Police,fire and ambulance in the other buttons. Listening only of course.

In general, there is nothing illegal about monitoring public safety. In some areas of the United States, it is illegal to possess a scanner or some type of radio equipment (such as a ham or commercial radio) with public safety tuned into them with out some kind of FCC operator license such as amateur (ham), general radio operator, business radio pool, or other license. I am a ham radio operator in NC and I have ham radios, scanners, and commercial gear with some kind of PS channel programmed.
