  • And then people put this onto an MP3!

  • @InstantReverbPro Thanks for the input. Hope you had a chance to listened to

    John La Duca 4500/4502/4300

This guy was an incredible musician! And the organ was/is one of the most up front, broad sounding musical instruments ever. Digital has trouble sounding half as good.

  • @paulj0557 I know you didn't ask me, but the way I would do it would be this. I would put a pair of MD421's on the 12's and Royer SF-24 set no more then 4 feet back.

  • @Riezz73 Good point!!!!!!

  • @dhampex hmmm i think Delie Derbyshire is the first true female engineer

famous because her work for the BBC Radio Workshop as for the Dr Who Theme

  • Wow thats a big desk

  • How would you mic a Wurlitzer 4500 organ- 8 speakers internal- 2-12'' facing forward L & R, 2 6x9''s facing slightly outward and on either side of the 12s, 1 horn above the left 12 , 1- 5'' below (or above?) the right 12", and finally two 4'' speakers on the Spectra-tone which spin vertically and project above and on the left of the organ. Here is a recorded 4500 example ( on youtube)-

Wurlitzer Organ 4500 4502 4300 John La Duca Side 1

Curious where to begin with this incredible organ-Paul

  • Do we care any more about George Lucas and Skywalker sound now those bastard STAR WARS bluray are out.

  • Ms Leslie Ann jones, the first female engineer. A cool person.
