Describes how to begin building a backbend foundation to the beginner. Includes the warmup, backbend with a prop, and the opposing exercise of the forward bend. Part 2 of this video will include more backbend exercises for the beginner to expand on. This video use the Swara Yoga system as practiced at Bheemashakti Yoga Center in Mysore, India. This foundation will enable the beginner to strengthen and open the backbend in order to achieve intermediate exercises as shown in my other video.   • Yes I teach yoga in San Diego, California primarily at Ginseng Yoga 5 days per week. I am going to take some students to India in March for 21 Day Yoga intensive as well.
