Story: Noctis & Stella have been dating for a long time, soon to be engaged. But there is grief, Noctis has lately been haunted by the images of his ex-lover, and soldier, Lightning. Her face appears behind closed eyelids, and all he can think about is her. And Stella has been second guessing herself - Did she really want to become of a soon to be fallen kingdom?
Snow had lied to Lightning about Noctis, as he wanted her for himself. He said he saw Noctis wooing Stella, the best friend and sister of Lightning. They were close & Lightning felt betrayed - ending the relationship with the prince. Noctis was devastated & unwillingly moved on.
Over time, Lightning discovered the truth, over hearing Snow talked to a comrade. She confronted him with a punch, and began to yell. Snow could only glare back to the rageful woman. Lightning had to tell Noctis the truth...
But he said, with his heart aching, "It's too late to apologize."
