  • It brings value if it helps direct the efforts towards areas that bring about a positive impact on promoting cycling and walking in the city. That particular intersection is a useless gesture. It can be made for safe crossing but then what? You still can't get anywhere safely from that intersection and the point is to be able to go there from here. Even if that intersection is "fixed" I will continue to avoid it when I ride.

  • @Farbar1955 , Your comment at does not bring value to the Shreveport/Bossier bike community. Please reply with your proposed solution before being negative. I recommend looking at Baton Rouge and New Orleans areas to see what they have done to be bicycle friendly. I always see a lot of cyclist in those areas.

  • Shreveport CAN become a bike and pedestrian friendly town but this is the wrong intersection to waste time and money on for cyclists and walkers.
