Yuzo Kayama offered the song to Teresa Teng (*1953 +1995), and she made lyrics in Chinese and Japanese. They sing together here.

WE ARE THE STARS
If you should ever become lonely, please remember the old saying
Look up at the skies, as thought calling out to you:
We are the stars. We are the stars
We need to keep the hopes of living.
We need to fly into the skies, and grasp that rainbow.
We have boundless energies in the World
We must not be afraid of darkness and exhibit our brightness.
We are the stars, brilhant stars.
We heart their voice far in the sky
Let us cath in our hands tomorrow's dream and rainbow life
Let us remember this too when we become alone
My life twinkles like the stars.
Twinkles like the stars...

  • @masami43 ...continuing. It is very sad to feel emotion expressed by Tereza-san without understanding the power of words in the songs. While there are volunteers like you and young people searching knowledge, stars like Teresa Teng will shine forever. Thank you for everything you have done. God bless you!

  • @masami43 Yamashita-san, thank you for your generosity. Despite my mistake. I think Miss Teresa became the diva of Asia because she won the barriers of language. She respected the customs and traditions of each country. She took Japanese words about love across Asia. And she brought words of love from Asia to Japan, England and USA. Each day the new generation has discovered Teresa-san and falling in love for her work and her songs. Outside Asia, the predominant language is English. continues...

    Dear Takaoka-san,

I am a Japanese. Despite your comment above, you have not actually used my Enlish translation of the conversion part which is shown in the corresponding video uploaded by HkshipForTeresaRTeng.

You can also use the English of that conversion part now.

  • @HKshipsForTeresaTeng I'll post the link to your channel. I think fans will be faster to access. Congratulations for the informative work and high quality. Thank you and sorry for what happened.
