Notice they don't actually give the correspondence between Pliny and Trajan? That's because it's a virtual dismissal. Sure he existed. Before the giant cult of personality though, outside the Jewish world, no one cared.

@megamind0001 - Saint Peter never existed. He is a lampoon of Simon the Zealot in the Jewish War by Josephus. It's what we call fictional writings, it's not that difficult to get your head around.

@misspiccola11 - The gospels are satire based on the Roman-Jewish war. That's how we know it's all a "fairy-tale".

Here's the problem. NONE of the historians had anything to go on other than what Christians told them orally. Tacitus, if you bother to read him for yourself, even mentions he was simply relaying what Christians told him.

Flavius wasn't contemporary with "Jesus" anyway, he was born 3 years after "Jesus" supposedly died.. And Tacitus simply told of followers of a chrestos, there were many of those back then. Those two, that's all the christians have other than "The Bible". So if "Jesus" existed, he certainly wasn't an important figure: )

@winterstellar And where is your proof that the New Testament is all fairy-tale?
misspiccola11 4 months ago
@misspiccola11 The New Testament is all fairy-tale.

@winterstellar We have accounts of 100s of people witnessing miracles in the New Testament. That is evidence to say that they happened. Of course the law of physics is still the same and always will be, but that is how something is defined as a miracle, it goes beyond physics and does what is considered to be 'impossible'. Why would 100s of people accounted in the New Testament be lying about what they saw? Mark 6:30-44.
