@drjekill2986 @drjekill2986 Did you all know that any thing that grows has to eventually stop growing? If your family grew at 1 percent per year it would double every 70 years. If it was the USA, then you would be DOUBLE today's population in 2080, etc etc. Maybe the lack of LAND = current over-population? & if a new airport isn't built by 2020 you will loose 100 billion in economic growth? Over how long? And is that from MORE people moving to the REGION? Fuck economic growth = eventual DEATH!

@listen2meokidoki I guess you should propose to pass law against taking a shit so you don't pollute the sewers. Or better yet why don't we pass a law to stop people like you from reproducing.

What would it COST to maintain? How long will it last? Can it be made of non-toxic materials (guaranteed?) that can be sunk to form a reef? They proposed such an airport for Sydney, Australia about 1990 when they extended the runways. It would confuse the migrating whales! They'd run into it and die! The solution is to CONTROL PEOPLE. The size of their cars, number of plane trips per year and we should encourage people to hold their breath thus we can reduce the CO2 we breath out. Go vegetarian!

Has it not occurred to you Americans to use and redesign the basic principle of the floating dry dock principle as the main building block for such a structure? If a floating dry dock can lift % support a WW II battleship or an iron ore carrying cargo ship above sea level & can travel across all types of ocean conditions, then why don't you use it? Just build, connect them, wash and dry & seal their ballast & fill them with concrete foam or geopolymer foam that will make them float permanently.
