I've given myself a personal challenge to loose 125lbs by March 9th, 2010 to coincide with the release of The Scarlet Ending's new album "Ghosts". After seeing the amount of work and passion these guys can put into what they love, why can't I put that much work and love into myself?
Matt, Don't go snowboarding!!! Every time we took off our skiis and put on the snowboards we had to go to the HOSPITAL!! Our first trip was in an ambulance and we got a $14,000 dollar bill. The other trips were by car for broken bones. Skiing is much safer. It gets ugly when you have two broken wrists.Snowboarding is for little tiny people who fall softly. We fall like big old cows at my house. haha I guess we are not to graceful.

I'm so proud of youuuu!
Can I get some advice? My boyfriend has a fatty foods addiction, and he refuses to eat most vegies unless they're fried or overly salted.
He's 19, and his health is already pretty bad for his age.
He does work out and such, and isn't overweight, but his blood pressure is getting bad, and things like that simply because of all the bad food.
What can I do to help him get motivated?
Or, how can I make vegies and healthier foods more appealing to him?
Any ideas?

You're doing all the right things...I took Kung-Fu years ago and lost weight like crazy...and without dieting...so you're one step ahead on me there. Don't forget the little ways to help cut the calories.I replaced sugar with a susbstitute . Mustard for mayo..water for sodas. Over the year this adds up to thousands of calories. You'll make it ...

I totally agree with your thoughts on food cravings. The longer I eat a healthy diet, the less "bad" cravings I have. I do indulge occassionally now too. The funny thing is now it gives me a tummyache and I am always sorry afterwards: and thats a good thing! You're doing so well, I hope you don't get too down about "only" losing 5 lbs instead of 7. This comeback of yours is so amazing and inspiring.
