I always thought this was an Alan and Marilyn Bergman song.....I'll be damned!

I remember Rex Harrison singing it to the seal. This is the version I am looking for. It is one of these songs you hear only once and remember forever.

when I look in Your Eyes, Caroll , I watch the Sweet L♥VE of my Life and my ONLY GREAT S♥UL MATE

This song is meant to be sung slow - as it was in Dr. Doolittle with Rex Harrison. Diana Krall's version is very haunting, very serene and actually very sexy as well.

This song is perfect for HBO's TrueBlood.
Especially, for Sookie Stackhouse and Eric Northman.
I would so love to see a video made of this song with photos of them looking
into each other's eye's. Eric's eyes tell hundred's of stories.
And it's also where he keeps his secrets.

Love love love Diana, she was "just" a jazz pianist for so long. Only later in her career did she add that extraordinary voice. Love love love this xo

those eyes so wise, so warm,so real...
It was written by Lestie Bricusse as one of the tunes he wrote for the original 1967 Doctor Dolittle Movie. Rex Harrison (Dr.Dolittle) sang it to a seal named Sophie. I always thought this tune would make a great jazz ballad, but could never find anyone who knew the tune or cared to learn it. Loved it 40+ years ago and still love it today. Thanks to Diana Krall for bringing it back to life!

Hauntingly beautiful. I have no idea where I've been, but eleven years later I'm just now discovering this song? I've ordered the CD this morning.
